Happy Hawaiian Shirt Friday!

Friday, November 21st, 2008

Aloha friends! How’s it going? You better be rocking your aloha right now, and if you are go ahead and say so up there. And then go tell all your friends. Our goal is to have every Hawaiian Shirt accounted for. I know there’s more of you out there, you don’t have to be ashamed anymore. Don’t be scared of the HS haters. They’re just jealous.

Well, I got my new Mad Gringo shirt in the mail the other day and I am oh so rocking it today. It is a very nice shirt. I’ll have a full review next week so stay tuned. Or take my word for it and go buy one right now. You can go get the special HSF coupon from last week, I’m not sure when it expires, or hit up Mad Brian. he’s got the deals. They really are very nice shirts.

Since we don’t have a whole lot to talk about this week, here is a bunch of ukulele videos. Check ‘em out!

First up here is a nice intrumental (read:not creepy) cover of Every Breath You Take:

Next up, all the way from some shed in Scotland is a rollicking rendition of Cole Porter’s Don’t Fence Me In. A song that definitely supports the HSF philosophy.

Now, I was going to post some videos of Hello Goodbye’s Ukulele Recordings. It is so good to see bands of such stature turn their attention to the uke and give it some quality time. Their songs are great and they even cover a Buddy Holly song, +100 awesome to them for that. But we here at HSFriday are way too post-modern to post new music videos from popular bands. Instead we will post this well done cover of their song The Thoughts That Give Me the Creeps by Joshua Wicker. Good job Josh:

That is all for now! Have a good friday! p34c3, m4h4l0.
